Trainer Experience

In reining, few young professionals arrive with the pedigree and preparation of Sam Flarida. Growing up watching his mentor and father, Shawn Flarida, one of the most successful riders in NRHA history, Sam absorbed the principles of great horsemanship, training, and showmanship from an early age. He began riding very young and quickly became consumed with improving his horses. His approach was further shaped by trainers Robin Schoeller and Vincienzo Santos, both of whom worked alongside his dad.

Sam has always been particularly drawn to the development of talent in young horses. He continually studies bloodlines and incorporates those observations into his program, recognizing that every horse is an individual whose parentage also shapes traits and talents that can be enhanced through diligent, thoughtful training.

After years of competing successfully as a youth and non-pro rider, including major titles at the NRHA Futurity, NRBC, and other premier events, Sam now operates Sam Flarida Reining Horses in Springfield, Ohio as he continues to work closely with the knowledge and guidance of his father while building his own reputation as a dedicated, patient horseman focused on long-term success for both horse and rider.
