Why I ride a Bob's Custom Saddle:

Great success has brought me the opportunity to work with amazing companies like Bob's custom Saddles. Over a decade ago my dad gave me my first Bob's saddle. To this day I have not ridden in anything but a Bob's Custom Saddle. Having a custom saddle that fits my horse and me is essential to my every day riding and show pen success. It's obvious that Bob's saddles are the highest in quality and last a lifetime. But nothing tops having a saddle customized to you and your horse's needs. I love that every saddle is so unique and different, and feel privileged to have been able to design my own saddle with my own signature look. My favorite part of my saddle is the no bind riggin; it lets my legs have full movement back and forth. At the end of the day, choosing a Bob's custom saddle is a decision you will never regret.

With a father who was an up and coming horse trainer and a mother who rode pleasure horses, I was born to ride. . At a young age, I knew I had a passion for riding horses. I had always ridden different ponies and horses around our ranch, and at the age of 12 was given a very special pony named Jet. By special I mean an angry pony with an attitude that challenged my skills and authority everyday. Jet and I went on to have a successful junior rodeo career but had to give him away when my boots started dragging on the ground. I had much success in my high school years qualifying in 3 out of 4 National High School Finals Rodeo's and continued to ride in college where I qualified for the Intercollegiate National Finals Rodeo.

Like most young men, I came home from college not knowing what to do for a career. Knowing that I had a passion and skill for riding horses, I turned to my dad, Ted Robinson for a job. Much to my surprise he laughed and said, " Go get a real job first." Over the next 4 years I worked at a construction job and competed as a non-pro with my dad as my trainer and mentor. In 2003 I started working for Ted Robinson training stables.

Working with my dad has been a true blessing. I feel lucky to have learned from the best and realize that to some it may seem like I had an easy entrance into the cow horse world but after years of hard work and dedication, I have developed my own technique and style. I have been fortunate enough to have had quality horses to help me become the successful trainer I am today. Without the amazing support from loyal customers, friends and family, I would be nowhere.

I reside and train in Oak View, California. In 2011 I became engaged to my future wife Tina Fry and have planned our wedding for April 2013. She herself has proven herself in the cow horse world after winning the 2011 Intermediate Snaffle Bit futurity.
